How the operation works
We are passionate for world-class sportfishing. We believe fishing goes way beyond the sport – it is a lifestyle, a way to make friends and share common values and passions.
Our goal is to take your group with safety and comfort to the best fishing spots within the Brazilian Amazon territory. Our guides are experts and will bring you to places with low fishing pressure, with an abundance of different species and away from other fishermen. Those are our true differentials, making our experience exclusive and unforgettable.
Beyond fishing, navigating through the forest allows our clients to enjoy the Amazonian culture and habitat. You will be able to try local dishes and delicacies, at the same time you will see countless unique animal species such as panthers, monkeys and rare birds.
Our boat is a passion project from 4 friends with over 30 years of fishing experience around the world.

This means a ratio of more than one crew member per fishermen.
We are an all-inclusive operation: we serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and an open bar with water, juices, soft-drinks and premium beers (Heineken, Stella, Amstel, Imperio, Spaten, Becks). 12 liters of hard liquor per group.
How a typical trip is structured:
Friday:
Arrivals.
We will meet your group at Manaus airport and organize a transfer to the hotel. Friday is an open day, and our team will suggest leisure options.
Saturday:
Air Transfer.
On Saturday, we will take your group to the Amazon Spirit boat through a short one-hour flight. Upon arrival your group will be welcomed with a cocktail.
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday:
Fishing
Starting on Sunday, we will initiate fishing activities. Mealtimes will be decided by the group. During the evenings, the group will be welcome to enjoy our open bar.
Friday:
Closure
Fishing wraps 5pm. By 6pm the boat will return to the starting point.
Saturday:
Flight back to Manaus
Where the group will be transferred to Manaus airport, arriving around noon.

Our team will pick your group at the hotel and transfer to the airport. The group will fly to the boat location in a small aircraft. Upon arrival you will be greeted with a welcome cocktail

General Disclaimers:
- Each fisherman will be responsible for booking their flights to and from Manaus through their preferred airline. We are happy to refer you to our travel agency, that often offers good flight deals.
- For the last day (Saturday), the predicted arrival at Manaus airport is 12pm; however, due to possible delays, we recommend our guests to book their return flights departing after 4pm.
- Baggage limit of 15kg (32 lbs) due to the internal flight in a small aircraft
- The route might go through changes without notice due to weather or logistical changes.

- Reception at local airport of chosen city, and ground transfer to hotel boat

- One local guide for every 2 fishermen. Skiff with dual platform equipped with outboard and electric motor

The Amazon Spirit team
Adriano Mamizuka is Brazilian, electrical engineer and an entrepreneur in the energy generation field. He’s been a fishermen since his young days, influenced by his dad Emídio. Through the years Adriano has fished with multiple charter operations around the world, in both saltwater and freshwater, where he specialized in baitcasting and vertical jigging. A fishing enthusiast, Adriano has seen the evolution of the sport over the decades, and is proud to have initiated several friends in this wonderful hobby.
José Fábio Camocardi is Brazilian and graduated in Mechanical Engineering at E.E. Maua and post graduated in Business at Fundação Getulio Vargas. He lives in São Paulo, is the Executive Director and partner of AESSEAL BRASIL, company focused on the sealing industry. In his spare time, Fabio owns a sport fishing charter operation for snook and other species in the southeast coast of Brazil, targeting snook and other local species.
Akira Mamizuka is Brazilian born and graduated in Electrical Engineering at Unicamp. He lives in San Francisco and is a Technology executive in Silicon Valley, serving as Vice President of GTM Operations at LinkedIn. In his spare time, Akira is a fisherman on the California coast, targeting species such as Tuna, Lingcod and Halibut.
Nelson Palla is Brazilian and graduated as a Veterinarian Doctor. He owns GranVet veterinary clinic and he is passionate about nature and animals. Sportfishing is an extension of his passion. Nelson is also obsessed about delighting customers and you can see his attention to details in each corner of the Amazon Spirit boat.
